Welcome Fr. Douglas Dorula

We rejoice in the good news that Fr. Douglas Dorula has been assigned to our parish as Parochial Vicar pro Tempore.

Fr. Doug was born on April 26, 1968 to Walter and Gloria Dorula who live in Uniontown. His older brother Ronald also lives in Uniontown. His home parish was St. Joseph Parish, Uniontown.

Fr. Doug graduated from Laurel Highlands Senior High in 1986 and from Penn State University in 1990 with a BA in radio and television broadcasting, and a minor in political science. He worked in radio broadcasting, radio advertising and newspaper advertising in Uniontown, Connellsville, Waynesburg and State College.

Fr. Doug attended St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe where he earned his Master of Divinity degree in 2001. He served his deacon internship at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral under the direction of Monsignor Michael Begolly. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 1, 2002 by Bishop
Anthony G. Bosco.

From 2002 - 2007 he served several parishes in Indiana County and since 2007 he has been the Parochial Vicar at St. Barbara Parish in Harrison City.
We look forward to his ministry here at MSP as he arrives on August 18.
