Celebration of Women

The St. Anthony Guild hosted the 2nd Annual "Celebration of Women".  The event was organized to honor living (80+ years) and deceased women of our parish who have served our church.  Names were submitted by members of the parish and each person was honored in several ways.  A candle was placed on the table with each of the names on it.  The candles were lit and burned throughout the event.  Pictures were submitted and organized into a PowerPoint presentation which ran for over 12 minutes honoring each person individually and then again as a group.   Over 300 women of our parish attended this event and many men of our parish generously served the food that was prepared.  It was a beautiful afternoon and was a very special way to honor those women who have served our parish.  This years event focused on women who have already passed on.  Next year, we will continue to remember women posthumously and will also start honoring active members of our parish.  We look forward to seeing you at next years event.
