Members of
the new Pastoral Council for All Saints and Mount Saint Peter Parishes
have begun to chart their course for the coming year.
Immediate projects include developing a communication plan to keep the
members of the parish informed about the work of the council, and to
provide parishioners with opportunities to meet and talk with council
members.
Council
members will gather for a retreat day in January to pray and to
reflect upon the document,
New Wine, New Wineskins,
which outlines the diocesan model for parish pastoral councils.
Following this retreat, council members will begin their important
work of pastoral planning - articulating the goals and objectives that
will guide All Saints and Mount Saint Peter Parishes for the next
several years.

outpost to reach out to the needs of the community at large.” |

worked in healthcare for forty years and is currently working at
The Willows of Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont.
Margaret is a third generation member of All Saints Parish. “I

Jim Palochik |
|
Jim
is a graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA. He is a
former captain in the US Army, a Vietnam veteran, and has
served as a combat assault helicopter pilot (1969-70). He
married to Karen Kucinski Palochik 37 years ago and has two
grown children: Jimmy and Susan, and four grandchildren: Laura,
Cody, Stasha, Christian. He is Director of Construction
Services for RIDC and has spent most of his career in the
office/ residential/ commercial/ industrial development and
construction business.
Jim’s
immediate family has been a member of Mt. St. Peter’s for 34
years and his parents are life-long members. My hopes and
dreams are simple: “to help build Mt. St. Peter into a strong
parish while holding to the principles and values of our
Catholic faith and helping to foster and instill stewardship to
our fellow parishioners and the community at-large.” |

Kensington with his brother John and their adopted cat Fredo.
His sister Nancy Brock and her husband Mike are also members of

well as other members of his extended family. Frank works in
Pittsburgh as a lawyer.
Frank has been a
member of the parish since birth as have his immediate and
extended families. He is a lector at Sunday Mass. His hope for
the future is that “we all deepen our faith, grow in our love
and service of the Lord and develop eyes to see Christ in each
other and those we encounter on our journey.” |

Maria Tallarico |

Maria
Santarelli Tallarico was married to Patsy Tallarico here at
Mount St Peter's 38 years ago. They live in Lower Burrell and
are the proud parents of two sons, Frank and Mark. Maria is a
graduate of Clarion State University. She has taught in the New
Kensington-Arnold School District and was Preschool Coordinator
and Speech Therapist for United Cerebral Palsy and the
Westmoreland Intermediate Unit. Maria finished her career as
the Education-Special Education Coordinator and Supervisor for
Armstrong County Head Start.
Maria has been a parishioner of
Mount St. Peter for forty years. During those years our church
and Catholicism globally have changed. In Matthew’s Gospel,
Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened and
I will give you rest". The challenges for us are numerous,
fiscal balance and responsibility, meeting the diverse spiritual
needs of our parishes and providing services in the future as
the number of priests decreases are just a few. We shall face
them, find strength in each other as we problem solve, then we
shall rest knowing that our parish community will serve our Lord
and each other joyfully. |

employed by Strategic Employee Benefit Services of Pittsburgh,
Inc.
Patty
is very grateful to be a member of Mt. St. Peter Church since
birth, and has thus far received all of her sacraments here.
“With respect and appreciation for the people, resources and
traditions that have made Mt. St. Peter the parish and school
that that we enjoy today, I pray that we can use the talent and
treasures of today's parishioners to continue flourishing both
spiritually and financially, as we strive to guide our younger
generation to embrace their Catholic faith in a secular world
that offers far too many distractions.” |

Pittsburgh as the supervisor of community resources for the
Refugee Resettlement Program.
Suzette has been a member of Mt.
St. Peter Parish for the past 12 years.; “My hope for the future
of Mt. St. Peter is that we can work together to reach out to

benevolence to those outside of the parish who have felt
alienated; and that we can provide ongoing spiritual enrichment for parishioners and others in the community."
