27th Festa
Italia Celebration
will be held on the Church Grounds again this year. The Festa runs
each evening from Thursday July 31st, through Saturday August 2nd.
Activities take place from 5:00 PM to 10:00
PM Thursday and Friday and began with a 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday.
Buses run from the Valley High School Parking Lot from 4:30 to 10:00
PM Thursday and Friday and after 4:00PM Mass to 11:00 PM Saturday.
This years event included all of the
usual favorites: Homemade Italian Food & Desserts,
Live
Entertainment and Adult/Child Games.
Tents were setup in the church parking lot for ticket sales, bingo, instant
bingo, 50/50 raffle, grand prize raffle, adult games, music, miscellaneous
Italian food, french fries, fried dough, pizza, pizzelle/frappee
and cannoli sales, gelata sales, pop/beer/wine sales, Italian novelty
sales and more...
There was plenty of games and crafts for children of all ages in
the Kiddie Corner.
We had live entertainment each
night in the parking lot along with a small dance area.
Homemade Italian Foods was available
in Marble Hall each night. This years menu
included all of the usual favorites:
Lasagna Meatball Sandwich
Spaghetti with Meat Balls
Pasta Fagioli
Sulplee (Italian Rice Balls) Pulled Pork
Sausage Sandwich
Pizza
