Blessing of Pets

October 4th is the Feast day for St. Francis of Assisi.  This feast day marks the annual Blessing of the Pets.  Parishioners bring their pets to the church grounds where they are blessed by the priest.  This year's event was another big success.  Owners and pets gathered together on the grounds next to the statue of St. Peter.  The group participated in a short prayer service followed but a group blessing of all the pets in attendance.  Monsignor Begolly was available to bless individual pets and their owners.
